A few weeks ago was the last session of the autumn edition of our Freedom Programme.

The Freedom Programme is a self – awareness and educational programme for women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse. The programme demonstrates the tactics used by an abusive partner to exert power and control over survivors. It also showcases how domestic abuse affects children and explores the impact on the family as a whole. The programme also explores aspects of abusive/controlling behaviour and also what healthy relationships look like.

Our autumn programme was facilitated by our Family Coordinators, Haj & Brenda, who delivered two runs of training – one face-to-face and the other over Zoom – across 7 weeks. The face-to-face sessions took place at Loughborough Children’s Centre, who offered free crèche for mums attending the course to leave their little ones.

We’re excited to welcome everyone to our next round of Freedom, starting in late November! 😊
