Our autumn volunteer prep course for prospective volunteers began in late September and is still ongoing. The course is preparing those interested in volunteering with us to confidently help families in Lambeth in need of practical and/or emotional support. The topics covered in the course have so far included confidentiality, the role of a Home-Start volunteer, the rights of children and safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children.
The course is being delivered in conjunction with Home-Start Southwark and has been running once a week on Thursdays. So far, sessions have been delivered at HS Southwark’s office near London Bridge however the last session will take place at our office in Brixton.
