With December well underway, the season of giving has begun. But when it comes to spreading Christmas cheer, we were recently blown away by the incredible efforts of one person in particular.
Seven-year-old Ettie, who lives in Lambeth and is a pupil at Heber Primary School in East Dulwich, has taken the festive spirit to a whole new level this year. After hearing about the work we do at Home-Start Lambeth, Ettie wanted to do something to help.
After all, Christmas is all about giving, so what better way for Ettie to support our efforts and the children we work with, than by organising a present collection?
With the help of her school and parents, Ettie asked her friends and fellow students to donate toys and gifts for children for the families we support.
The response was heart-warming to say the least, with a merry mountain of gifts donated by the Heber school community.
