In July, our Head of Service, Susie Baker, delivered training on the subject of domestic abuse to Home-Start Lambeth & Home-Start Southwark volunteers and staff. The course was an introduction to the subject and included discussions and group activities around potential indicators of abuse, disclosure, and the mental & physical effects of domestic abuse on survivors and their children. 👩🏾🏫
Domestic abuse isn’t a fun subject but the training was energetic, interactive and informative, as attested by the feedback we received from attendees, as follows:
