DESCRIPTION:The Freedom Programme is a nationally recognised educational programme designed to provide a safe place for survivors of domestic abuse to explore their personal experiences in a safe\, confidential\, and supportive environment. Available to anyone who does not identify as male\, the programme explores tactics used by perpetrators to maintain power and control in abusive relationships. \nIt consists of 7 weekly sessions of 2 hours\, delivered in term time only.\nThe dates for online sessions for this programme delivery are: \n\nTuesday 16 April 2024\nTuesday 23 April 2024\nTuesday 30 April 2024\nTuesday 7 May 2024\nTuesday 14 May 2024\nTuesday 21 May 2024\nTuesday 4 June 2024\n\nThe programme is currently running online.\nThe programme also aims to: \n\nHelp attendees understand common beliefs held by abusive men.\nHelp attendees understand the effects of domestic abuse on their children.\nHelp attendees gain self-esteem and confidence.\nHelp attendees recognise future abusers.\nHelp attendees learn what constitutes a healthy relationship.\n\nFind out more about the Freedom Programme
